Pilates

The Pilates Method, originally called The Art of Contrology, develops coordination of the body, mind and spirit which increases strength and flexibility while building lean defined muscles. The Pilates Method was developed in the 1920's by a legendary physical trainer Joseph H. Pilates and consists of over 50 exercises using five major pieces of unique apparatus to develop the body's balance, control, and strength. Each exercise is performed with few repetitions, emphasizes precise movements and focus of the mind. This enables you to experience a new awareness of my muscle function and coordination.

Come experience a Pilates mat class and explore the fundamentals of this popular exercise system.
